320 Madison Street – The William B Murrell House
This is a good example of Classical Revival architecture which is characterized by symmetry, simple geometry, and social demands versus heavy ornamentation. The home was built in 1850 by William B. Murrell and renovated in 1914 by tobacconist Charles M. Casey. The entrance has a covered porch with columns extending two stories and swan’s neck pediment above the door.
