106 Madison Street – The Wilson House
This Queen Anne Victorian was built in 1894 by contractors Wilson and Seay for William Wilson, president of the Lynchburg National Bank. The original Slaughter home on this site was demolished and replaced by the present structure. An unusual combination of pressed brick, slate, and corrugated metal can be seen. The front porch was partially enclosed to provide an interior stairway and hall for apartments. Note the copper facing on the second story.
